Hatshepsut – Ancient Egypt

As I mentioned before in my last blog post about Ancient Egypt, Ancient Egypt is one of my favorite historic topics to write and learn about. In this blog post, I am writing about the first female pharaoh, Hatshepsut.

Here are some facts about Hatshepsut.

  1. As I already mentioned, she is the first female pharaoh.
  2. She wore male pharaoh clothing and even the fake beard to get the same respect the male pharaohs were given.
  3. She eventually achieved the respect the male pharaohs were given.
  4. When her mummy was found, there was still a couple strands of hair on her head.
  5. According to pictures of Hatshepsut’s mummy, she had reddish colored hair.
