As I mentioned before in my last blog post about Ancient Egypt, Ancient Egypt is one of my favorite historic topics to write and learn about. In this blog post, I am writing about the first female pharaoh, Hatshepsut.
Here are some facts about Hatshepsut.
- As I already mentioned, she is the first female pharaoh.
- She wore male pharaoh clothing and even the fake beard to get the same respect the male pharaohs were given.
- She eventually achieved the respect the male pharaohs were given.
- When her mummy was found, there was still a couple strands of hair on her head.
- According to pictures of Hatshepsut’s mummy, she had reddish colored hair.
